About the Role
Interns will utilize analytical skills to understand and assess risk profiles, determine policy pricing, terms, and conditions, and ensure proper documentation and compliance. They will assist their manager with departmental projects.
Responsibilities
- Participate in a 10-week internship in the management liability underwriting space.
- Rotate through Financial Institutions Underwriting and Public Commercial Underwriting.
- Assist the group in understanding the Executive Risks marketplace.
- Analyze financial statements, assess risk exposures, and produce underwriting reports.
- Work with underwriting staff to analyze and improve broker relationships.
- Analyze trends and macro factors to determine optimal portfolio breakdown.
- Research and present a final project to Executive Risk Commercial & Financial Institutions staff.
Requirements
- Pursuing a bachelor's degree, preferably an incoming Junior.
- Strong interpersonal skills.
- Strong financial analysis skills.
- Strong writing and communication skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft PowerPoint and Excel.
- Valid authorization to work in the U.S. without employer sponsorship.
