About the Role
This is an assembly position responsible for building, insulating, and testing of boilers and associated sub assembly parts. The successful candidate will come with good attitude, a can-do spirit, and the ability to learn and complete assigned tasks efficiently, correctly, and in alignment with the Company values and operating philosophy.
Responsibilities
- Assemble boilers according to drawings and instruction using complex tools.
- Connect pipe, pipe fittings.
- Perform complex testing activities.
- Follow all safe working practices working with hand tools, machines and vehicles.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
Requirements
- Read and interpret complex drawings required to complete custom work.
- Good physical stamina.
- Ability to work independently and perform assigned tasks with minimal instruction.
- Steel plate forming and welding experience is a plus.
- Initiative - Identifying what needs to be done and doing it before being asked or before the situation requires it.
- Personal Credibility - Be reliable and trustworthy.
- Results Oriented - The ability to focus on a desired result.
- Thoroughness - Ensuring work and information is complete and accurate.
- Heavy Work – Must be able to exert up to 100 pounds occasionally and 50 pounds frequently.
- Frequent standing and walking.
- Bending/Stooping – Bending body downward and forward by bending spine at the waist. Full motion of the body, lower extremities and back muscles.
- Ability to run a sand rammer for extended periods of time.
- Must be able to use a respirator and may be exposed to dust and fumes.
