About the Role

This role is responsible for building and scaling the acquisition and activation engine for Sagetap's community of enterprise technology executives, known as Sages. The goal is to create compounding growth channels, leverage proprietary data for demand generation, and establish Sagetap as an authoritative source in the market. The position offers direct collaboration with the CEO and Head of Business Operations on company strategy.

Responsibilities

  • Own Sage acquisition and build a portfolio of acquisition channels.
  • Design and execute Sage events, both virtual and in-person.
  • Manage paid and digital acquisition efforts, including creative, targeting, and landing pages.
  • Develop partnerships with executive communities, VC firms, and adjacent organizations.
  • Collaborate with Product on growth mechanics, starting with referrals.
  • Build customer advocacy into an acquisition channel by engaging Sages to share their stories.
  • Transform member experience into a recruitment driver.
  • Own the content strategy, converting proprietary data into awareness and demand.
  • Grow the weekly Sage Signal into a must-read channel for senior leaders.
  • Produce data-driven reports and insights to establish authority.
  • Amplify executive thought leadership from the CEO and Head of Business Operations.
  • Celebrate member and customer wins publicly while respecting anonymity.
  • Own the entire funnel from acquisition through activation.
  • Partner with Product and Content on engagement sequences and touchpoints.
  • Diagnose and resolve activation bottlenecks.
  • Build and maintain the Sage target account list and ensure CRM integration.
  • Own tracking, attribution, and automation for marketing operations.
  • Provide pipeline and performance visibility to the team.
  • Operate with a budget, prioritizing experiments that prove themselves.
  • Create budget through vendor-sponsored events and co-marketing initiatives.

Requirements

  • Experience building demand for a business where the audience is the scarce resource (e.g., marketplace, community, network).
  • Proficiency with P&L management and attribution models.
  • Experience running successful events for senior audiences.
  • Strong writing skills and a clear point of view on reaching executives.
  • Credibility in conversations with senior technology leaders.
  • Ability to operate effectively with limited resources (team and budget).
  • Preference for running sharp experiments over expensive campaigns.
  • Desire for accountability and ownership of performance metrics.
  • Bonus: Experience in enterprise security or AI, community-led growth, or building a media property alongside a product.
