About the Role
CRM Rental Management, Inc. is seeking a Superintendent for Emerald Court Apartments in Chittenango, NY. This role is responsible for preserving the overall physical condition and operational integrity of the property, supporting the Maintenance Development Lead by overseeing the Maintenance Team and ensuring a safe, secure, and comfortable environment for residents, visitors, and staff.
Responsibilities
- Oversee and maintain the physical condition of the entire property
- Lead, supervise, and support the maintenance team
- Foster positive relationships with residents, team members, vendors, suppliers, and service professionals
- Diagnose and perform routine, preventive, and emergency maintenance, including minor and major repairs
- Manage inventory and maintenance supplies
- Implement and ensure adherence to preventive maintenance programs and safety protocols
Requirements
- Minimum of three (3) years of full-time maintenance experience
- Proven ability to lead, train, and motivate a team
- Working knowledge of electrical, plumbing, carpentry, painting, and household appliances
- Willingness to perform hands-on tasks and continue professional development
- Strong communication skills with confidence, positive attitude and the ability to interact effectively with diverse groups
- Must be able to pass a 5-year background check
- Must be able to pass pre-employment drug testing
