About the Role
Join our team at Thermo Fisher Scientific as a Scientist I, Formulation, where you'll make meaningful contributions to products that help make the world healthier, cleaner and safer. In this role, you'll perform formulation and manufacturing activities in a GMP/ISO-regulated environment, working with state-of-the-art equipment and technologies. You'll execute manufacturing protocols, troubleshoot processes, maintain detailed documentation, and collaborate across functions to ensure high-quality output. Responsibilities
- Perform formulation and manufacturing activities in a GMP/ISO-regulated environment.
- Work with state-of-the-art equipment and technologies.
- Execute manufacturing protocols.
- Troubleshoot processes.
- Maintain detailed documentation.
- Collaborate across functions to ensure high-quality output.
- Drive continuous improvement.
- Adhere to all Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) Safety Standards.
- Work with hazardous/toxic materials.
Requirements
- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship.
- Must be able to pass a comprehensive background check, which includes a drug screen.
- Demonstrated expertise in aseptic techniques and GMP manufacturing practices.
- Strong knowledge of laboratory equipment, analytical methods, and instrumentation.
- Proficient in documentation practices and batch record completion.
- Experience with quality systems and regulatory compliance (GMP, ISO).
- Excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Proven ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications and laboratory software systems.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work while wearing required PPE.
- Ability to work flexible hours including possible shift work.
- Demonstrated commitment to workplace safety protocols.
- Knowledge of data analysis and basic statistical methods.
- Willingness to learn new techniques and adapt to changing priorities.
