About the Role
Northern Trust Asset Management is seeking an experienced product marketer to commercialize Public Markets capabilities, refine competitive messaging, and transform investment capabilities into compelling offerings. This role supports the development and execution of product marketing strategies across various Public Markets, focusing on Liquidity, ETFs, and Custom SMAs. The individual will collaborate with internal teams to develop positioning, value propositions, go-to-market plans, and content that drives awareness and business growth.
Responsibilities
- Support and execute product marketing strategies for assigned Public Markets investment capabilities, including Liquidity, ETFs, and Custom SMAs.
- Develop product positioning and distill technical concepts into compelling messages for different client segments.
- Manage product launch and go-to-market workstreams, including messaging, content development, campaign inputs, website updates, and sales enablement.
- Develop and maintain product marketing content across various formats like presentations, web pages, articles, videos, social content, and campaign materials.
- Track deliverables, timelines, stakeholder inputs, and results, recommending improvements based on performance insights.
- Conduct and synthesize competitive, market, and client research to identify trends and content needs.
- Partner with Compliance and Legal to ensure materials meet regulatory requirements.
- Assist Marketing Operations with maintaining, updating, and distributing product-related communications.
Requirements
- 7+ years of asset management marketing experience, with a focus on public market investments and B2B.
- Familiarity with institutional, wealth, and intermediary client segments, their nuances, buy psychology, and sales cycles.
- Experience supporting product launches, go-to-market programs, campaigns, and sales enablement initiatives.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to craft compelling product messaging for diverse audiences.
- Strong project-management and organizational skills, capable of managing multiple priorities and deadlines.
- Strong collaboration and stakeholder-management skills, with experience partnering with investment, product, sales, compliance, and marketing teams.
- Strong understanding of US and International regulatory requirements.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint; demonstrated use of Microsoft CoPilot.
- Familiarity with marketing automation, content management, analytics, and sales enablement platforms is beneficial.
- Driven, self-motivated, high-performing, with a commercial mindset.
