About the Role
This role offers the opportunity to own significant product surface area for credit offerings, working alongside a lead credit designer. You will design the interaction and visual patterns for how Félix lends, including offers, borrowing flows, disclosures, and repayment, primarily within a chat interface, with future expansion to native iOS and Android. You will collaborate closely with a lead credit designer, the Credit PM, and the wider design team in an async-first environment.
Responsibilities
- Widen credit access for underserved users through ownership of borrowing flows, disclosures, repayment, and transaction history.
- Design for a conversational, AI-native medium, addressing challenges like latency, trust, and act-vs-ask within chat windows, and defining future native iOS and Android experiences.
- Integrate compliance and legal/risk requirements as integral parts of the product experience.
- Ground decisions in evidence by conducting evaluative testing and lightweight discovery, and engaging researchers for larger questions.
- Maintain the consistent Félix brand experience across all products within a single conversational interface.
- Influence team growth by contributing to hiring, critique processes, and the design system.
Requirements
- 4+ years of experience designing consumer products with a strong emphasis on visual and interaction design, and end-to-end UX scope.
- Ability to contribute at both pixel and strategic levels, reframing patterns and defending design tradeoffs.
- Native or near-native Spanish proficiency and advanced English skills.
- Deep Figma fluency and experience shipping at least two mobile products end-to-end.
- Research proficiency to conduct evaluative testing and discovery, with the judgment to involve researchers when necessary.
- Fluency with AI as a creative partner (e.g., Cursor, Claude Code, Claude Design, Codex) to enhance craft.
- High tolerance for constraints, including legal requirements, risk rules, and unavoidable failure states.
- Comfort working at speed and navigating ambiguity in an open, fast-shipping environment.
- Clear communication, early critique invitation, and proactive sharing of work for feedback.
- A portfolio link is required for consideration.
- Bonus: Experience in lending, credit, banking, regulated domains, or conversational AI products.
