About the Role
We are seeking a dynamic Payroll Specialist / Timekeeper to manage daily timekeeping and payroll processes for a high-volume employee base.
Responsibilities
- Review and verify clock-in and clock-out records for 200-300 employees daily.
- Identify, investigate, and resolve discrepancies or errors in employee timecards.
- Communicate with employees to clarify time entries and facilitate corrections.
- Track daily contractor attendance and report headcount to supervisors.
- Analyze attendance trends and provide coaching to employees.
Requirements
- 1-2 years of experience in timekeeping, payroll, HR administration, or a similar field.
- Previous experience in the construction or staffing industry is strongly preferred.
- Proficiency in Excel, especially with formulas and pivot tables.
- Comfortable being employee-facing and sitting at a computer for prolonged periods.
Skills
- Strong knowledge of payroll systems.
- Handling high-volume employee data.
- Timerack and Avionte experience a plus.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
- Ability to meet strict payroll deadlines.
