About the Role

Operate and maintain CNC machinery to produce precision parts, collaborating with engineering and manufacturing staff. This role requires meticulous attention to detail, efficient time management, and a commitment to producing high-quality work.

Responsibilities

  • Operate and maintain CNC machinery
  • Produce precision parts
  • Collaborate with Tooling engineer and manufacturing staff
  • Analyze existing tooling designs using CAD and improve them
  • Read and understand blueprints for new tooling design
  • Read and understand tolerances including GD&T
  • Conduct routine maintenance on CNC machines
  • Identify and resolve issues related to machine operation, programming, or tooling
  • Support Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiatives
  • Ensure compliance with Corporate Governance Policy
  • Ensure CNC equipment and processes operate safely, efficiently and consistently
  • Maintain 5s organization throughout the tool shop
  • Complete all work orders and other documentation on time
  • Support ISO-9001 requirements
  • Assist with die or tool repair if required

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED required
  • Technical school, apprenticeship, or formal Tool & Die training preferred
  • One to three years of professional experience in Machining in the related field
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and technical skills
  • Ability to complete projects on time and to specification
  • Ability to focus on precision and accuracy in all aspects of machining and inspection
  • Strong skills in mathematics, including geometry and trigonometry
  • Previous CNC machining experience in a manufacturing or tooling environment
  • Strong mechanical and troubleshooting skills
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints and engineering drawings
  • Ability to use micrometers, calipers, indicators, height gauges, and other precision measuring equipment
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Ability to work safely in a fast-paced environment
  • Ensure compliance with all safety procedures
  • Adherence to all policies and procedures
  • Willingness to assist other Tooling associates
  • Model and mentor proper process procedures and die or tool problem solving
  • Strong focus on customer satisfaction
  • Ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel and work in various positions for long periods (8–12 hours)
  • Ability to lift and move tooling components and materials as required, 25–50 lbs. regularly
  • Ability to work around manufacturing equipment, presses, machining equipment, and industrial environments
  • Constant exposure to noise, machinery, and industrial conditions
  • PPE required (safety glasses, gloves, steel-toe boots)
