About the Role
Guggenheim Investments seeks an experienced Vice President, Operations with expertise in Private Debt Funds to oversee administration and servicing of transactions, including Private Debt Funds and ABL Financing. This hands-on leadership role is responsible for the execution, reporting, and servicing of these funds and credit facilities.
Responsibilities
- Assist in structuring and reviewing transaction documents, ensuring alignment with modeled structures.
- Initiate the establishment of transactional entities and account openings, and approve/setup new transactions on operational systems.
- Direct the execution of cash and securities transactions and funds flow.
- Develop ongoing transaction procedures and assign responsibilities.
- Communicate directly with internal deal/structuring teams regarding administrative obligations.
- Manage transaction structures involving counterparties, servicers, trustees, fund administrators, and Guggenheim operational/control functions.
- Execute amendments, restructurings, and closures of entities.
- Implement and enhance processes and procedures for administered entities, aligning with firmwide standards.
- Develop and maintain models for testing guidelines, including overcollateralization, interest coverage, and collateral quality tests.
- Review and reconcile data for trustee monthly and quarterly payment reports.
- Maintain borrowing base files and facilitate fundings/paydowns on leverage facilities.
- Provide general fund oversight, monitoring and maintaining covenants of leverage facilities.
- Review waterfall calculations and servicer reports.
- Assist with data collection for ad hoc requests, due diligence, RFPs, and audits.
Requirements
- Strong credit, finance, economic, business, and technical skills with attention to detail.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to structure creative solutions.
- Ability to work independently while seeking guidance on complex issues.
- Proactive in identifying and implementing process and efficiency improvements.
- Ability to review governing transaction documents and execute transactions correctly.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Commitment to performance and accuracy.
- Team-oriented with the ability to collaborate with diverse and geographically dispersed groups.
- Ability to set and achieve individual and team goals.
- Capacity to multitask across a diverse investment pipeline in a detail-oriented and timely manner.
- 6+ years of experience in investment management or banking operations, including structured finance and SPV issuers.
- Candidates must be authorized to work in the US without current or future visa sponsorship or transfer.
