About the Role
As the state’s leading workers' compensation provider, Texas Mutual helps injured workers return to productive lives, supports businesses, invests in communities, and empowers employees. The marketing team is seeking a Marketing Project Manager to serve as the operational backbone, managing intake, capacity planning, campaign performance tracking, cross-team collaboration, and process improvement.
Responsibilities
- Translate business objectives and priorities into integrated marketing plans and campaign briefs in partnership with marketing and business development.
- Manage the marketing team's intake process, ensuring incoming requests are captured, evaluated, prioritized, and routed efficiently.
- Monitor and track campaign performance and KPIs, providing recommendations and insights for optimization and continuous improvement.
- Lead capacity planning efforts to balance workloads across the team, anticipate resource constraints, and help leadership make informed resource and prioritization decisions.
- Serve as a connector across teams — collaborating with internal and external stakeholders to align timelines, expectations, and deliverables.
- Develop and maintain dashboards, status reports, and project updates that give leadership and stakeholders clear visibility into team workload, project and campaign progress and performance.
- Identify opportunities to streamline workflows, eliminate inefficiencies, and implement process improvements.
- Manage multiple projects simultaneously, keeping work on track from kickoff through completion while proactively identifying and resolving roadblocks.
- Maintain project management tools and documentation, ensuring the team has what it needs to stay aligned and organized.
- Partner with business development and distribution on campaign requirements such as timing, communication tools or marketing artifacts.
Requirements
- A bachelor's degree in marketing, communications, business, or a related field, or equivalent education, training, or experience.
- At least 4 years of project management experience, preferably in a marketing, agency, or creative operations environment.
- Demonstrated experience managing intake processes, capacity planning, and cross-functional collaboration.
- Proficiency with project management platforms such as Wrike, Asana, Monday.com, or similar tools.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to translate complexity into clear, actionable next steps for a variety of audiences.
- Operationally Minded: Sees the system behind the work and looks for ways to bring structure, consistency, and clarity to team operations.
- Highly Collaborative: Builds trust across teams, brings people together around shared goals, communicates with ease, and adapts approach to fit audience.
- A Proactive Problem Solver: Anticipates roadblocks, asks good questions, and brings solutions.
- Strategically Influential: Sees around corners, translates future possibilities into action, unites people around a vision, connects big-picture thinking with day-to-day realities, and shapes decisions for sustainable impact.
