About the Role
As a Guest Experience Team Lead (GETL) at Impact Kitchen, you will set a high hospitality standard, ensuring guests enjoy their experience through positive interactions and community building. You will prepare beverages to high standards, act as a go-to resource for guest experience, and facilitate coaching and knowledge transfer to your team. This role supports management in the successful operation of the business and offers a natural progression to Restaurant Assistant Manager.
Responsibilities
- Leading and training the Guest Experience Team.
- Ensuring a best-in-class experience for new hires on their first day and during training.
- Preparing all beverages in a timely manner according to menu and customer specifications, including coffee and espresso-based beverages with superior latte art, tonics, tea, and wellness drinks.
- Executing and training on all Front of House positions to support a smooth service.
- Dialing espresso grinders daily and continually monitoring espresso quality.
- Accurately inputting orders through the POS system for efficient communication.
- Setting up and closing down the barista and smoothie stations, maintaining cleanliness and sanitization.
- Conducting above and beyond training for relevant team members.
- Supporting other restaurant tasks and teammates as required.
Requirements
- 1 - 5 years of team leadership experience.
- General understanding of food safety and public health practices.
- Availability to work days, evenings, and weekends as business requires.
- A commitment of at least 5 days per week and 30-40 hours per week is required.
- Ability to work in a standing position for extended periods of time.
Skills
- Excellent communication skills; ability to communicate effectively, respectfully and work well with others in a team-based setting.
- Interest in coaching and developing others.
- Ability to execute and thrive in a fast-paced environment.
- Exceptional time management and organizational skills with the ability to multitask when required.
- Food Handlers Certification (Preferred but not required).
- 1 year Barista experience (Preferred but not required).
