About the Role
This position provides clinical services as part of an Article 31 OMH certified outpatient MHOTRS clinic. The clinics are located in diverse communities and provide services to individuals of all ages and their families and support systems. Clinical services are provided using a trauma-informed, evidence-based, racially & culturally affirming approach. Interventions include evaluations, therapy, care coordination, and crisis interventions.
Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive evaluations and psychosocial assessments
- Develop treatment plans in collaboration with clients and family members, identifying treatment needs and interventions, and revising plans to reflect progress and changing goals
- Provide individual, group, family, collateral treatment, and crisis services/interventions
- Be actively self-reflective and self-aware of how clinical and administrative practice impacts clients, families, and the communities served
- Approach work with an anti-racist lens and be open to continuous learning and evolving
- Liaise with families, schools, criminal justice, and other community agencies to coordinate care
- Participate in clinical meetings, staff meetings, required training, and supervision
- Be open and willing to receive constructive feedback
- Maintain documentation according to established standards and time frames
- Maintain professional behaviors and ethical standards
- Other duties as assigned
- Attending case conferences as needed
- Maintaining a steady and active caseload
- Meeting the minimum expectations for kept visits
Requirements
- Experience with documenting in electronic health records
- Experience using Microsoft Office software
- The candidate should be able to read paper and electronic documents and perform significant data entry into various computer programs

Experience Level
- Experience treating children or adolescents is preferred
Education Level
- Master’s degree in counseling, creative arts, or social work from an accredited program
- New York State License or limited permit in Mental Health Counseling (LMHC)
- New York State License or limited permit in Creative Arts Therapy (LCAT)
- New York State License or limited permit in Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT)
- New York State License or limited permit in social work (LMSW)
