About the Role
Fair-Rite Products Corp. is seeking a full-time CNC Programmer to join their team. This role involves programming complex parts, developing cutting tools and fixtures, and ensuring precision in manufacturing processes.
Responsibilities
- Program complex parts using the Vision System.
- Program complex parts using the CMM.
- Write programs for CNC machines.
- Troubleshoot and correct issues with CNC software.
- Develop cutting tools and fixtures for CNC machines.
- Run and set up CNC machines, detecting and correcting issues.
- Assist fellow toolmakers as needed.
- Lead by example demonstrating proper shop techniques.
- Perform work with tolerances of + / – .00025 or better.
- Follow all relevant Quality and / or Environmental standards.
- Follow all O.S.H.A. standards and the F/R Safety and Health Policy.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED).
- Minimum of 2 – 4 years of on-the-job training and/or experience related to CNC Programming.
- Ability to read and understand blueprints.
- Ability to accurately handle all handheld precise measuring instruments.
- Must be adaptable to a changing work environment, competing demands and able to deal with frequent change, delays or unexpected events.
Skills
- Knowledge of computer-aided drafting software (CAD) and/or Solidworks.
- Knowledge of computer-aided machining (CAM).
- Knowledge of CNC programming.
- Ability to use data collection / SPC.
- PC / Computer skills.
- Ability to use CMS / ERP system is recommended.
- Good problem-solving skills.
- Excellent time management skills.
- Highly detail-oriented.
- Strong mathematical skills.
