About the Role
Fair-Rite Products is seeking a hands-on Assistant Team Leader for their Finishing Department. This role involves supporting daily operations in Grinding, Burnishing, and Lapping, while driving quality, efficiency, and continuous improvement in a precision manufacturing environment.
Responsibilities
- Lead by example on the production floor.
- Support and motivate team members to achieve daily production goals.
- Train employees on equipment, processes, and quality standards.
- Assist with scheduling work and establishing department priorities.
- Troubleshoot production challenges and help implement solutions.
- Monitor product quality and ensure customer specifications are met.
- Support equipment readiness and operational efficiency.
- Assist with performance evaluations and employee development.
- Maintain production records and analyze performance data.
- Foster a safe, positive, and team-oriented work environment.
Requirements
- Leadership, supervisory, team lead, or mentoring experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Experience with precision manufacturing processes such as Grinding, Lapping, Burnishing, Machining, Tooling setup, and Quality inspection.
- Experience using precision measuring equipment, including Micrometers, Calipers, Gauges, Comparators, and Other precision inspection tools.
- Ability to read and interpret Blueprints, Engineering drawings, Specifications, and Quality standards.
