About the Role
Southern Industrial Constructor, Inc. is hiring for a Superintendent Rigging at a project site in Hamlet, NC. The Superintendent - Rigging supervises site activities, including erecting and operating machines to hoist and convey machinery and equipment to their locations.
Responsibilities
- Manage activities of General Foreman and assigned craft workers.
- Establish and adjust work sequences to meet construction schedule.
- Interpret specifications, blueprints, and job orders.
- Maintain time records.
- Interpret company policies and enforce safety regulations.
- Study schedules and estimate worker-hour requirements for job completion.
- Analyze and resolve work problems.
- Coordinate the movement of equipment and material.
- Detect, recognize, and respond to dangerous conditions or situations.
- Perform frequent safety inspections of work area, equipment, tools, and employees.
- Perform other duties as required.
Requirements
- Appropriate journeyman experience required.
- Regular attendance is required.
- Significant travel may be required.
- Rigger Journeyman level minimum of 5+ years of experience.
- 3+ years of supervisory experience.
- Must be able to safely access all areas of property, including rooftops and other elevated positions as well as, confined spaces.
- Must be able to effectively use all required PPE equipment and lift up to fifty pounds.
- Must be able to safely operate all involved equipment and tools.
- Must be capable of standing for long periods of time, bending consistently, working in confined spaces with limited access, on ladders, in personnel lifts, and working in awkward body positions.
