About the Role
A construction project engineer manages the technical, administrative, and daily operational details of a project to ensure it stays on schedule, within budget, and up to safety standards. They act as a communication bridge with the project manager and construction manager.
Responsibilities
- Managing Submittals and RFIs: Review and process Requests for Information (RFIs) and material submittals to make sure the field teams have correct, approved data.
- Quality and Compliance: Review completed work and delivered materials to verify they match architectural plans and building codes.
- Scheduling and Coordination: Assist with tracking project milestones, sequencing trade work, and organizing daily site logistics.
- Cost Tracking: Help monitor budgets, process change orders, and review subcontractor billing or pay applications.
- Problem Solving: Identify on-site discrepancies or hurdles quickly and coordinate with designers or superintendents to fix them.
Requirements
- 0–3 years of relevant experience
- Experience working on construction projects (semiconductor and/or pharmaceutical facility experience preferred)
- Ability to understand and interpret drawings, specifications, contract documents, and construction methods
- Experience working in a fast-paced environment
Skills
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Excellent written communication and documentation abilities
- Basic knowledge of construction accounting, estimating, cost control, scheduling, and purchasing
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
- Strong organizational and problem-solving skills
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities effectively

Education Level
- Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field preferred
