About the Role

This role provides key support to the Contracts team and the wider business, with a specific focus on physical LNG and Crude Oil products.

Responsibilities

  • Draft and negotiate sale and purchase contracts for physical LNG and Crude Oil products/bio products.
  • Review incoming purchase contracts and respond promptly.
  • Validate trade entries and ensure accuracy of the ETRM system, confirming trades and resolving discrepancies.
  • Provide basic contractual support and advice to traders, operators, and internal stakeholders on contractual queries and operational issues.
  • Offer pre and post-deal commercial advice to ensure optimum terms and conditions and mitigate risks.
  • Understand compliance issues and critical controls affecting trades, reporting potential problems.
  • Manage administration related to trades, including contract preparation and review, and ensure compliance with deal entry and documentation authorization.

Requirements

  • Strong educational background and/or directly relevant work experience.
  • Good understanding of the energy trading industry and solid contractual background focused in physical commodity trading.
  • Detailed knowledge of LNG and/or Refined Products trading is a prerequisite.
  • Solid knowledge of contractual trading agreements, General Terms and Conditions, complex contractual arrangements (including LNG MSPAs), and storage agreements is advantageous.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (verbal and written).
  • Pro-active, self-motivated team player who builds strong relationships.
  • Strong analytical skills with meticulous attention to detail.
  • Diligent and dedicated to manage ad-hoc analysis and projects in a timely manner.
  • Ability to work with others to accomplish group goals and implement process changes.
  • Ability to communicate well with front, mid, and back office personnel, as well as senior management.
  • Ability to prioritize multiple tasks to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
