About the Role
Advantech Industries Inc. is seeking CNC Operators to join their team. The role involves observing machine operations, ensuring accuracy, detecting malfunctions, and performing various machining tasks.
Responsibilities
- Observe CNC Mill or CNC Lathe machine operation to verify accuracy of machine settings and to detect malfunctions or out-of-tolerance machining, using precision measuring instruments such as micrometer and dial caliper.
- Maintain a clean machine and work area.
- Control operation of computerized deburring and tooling machine to perform series of machining operations, such as drilling and deburring.
- Inspect first part and inspect work pieces throughout the production run, for out-of-tolerance machining.
Requirements
- Function as a member of a customer-driven quality team with limited supervision and a strong work ethic.
- Be accountable for meeting project outcome commitments.
- Maintain adequate performance and motivation despite routine or repetitive tasks.
- Understand and carry out oral and written directives.
- Work well under pressure, adhere to deadlines, and be flexible.
- Possess thorough operational knowledge and skills of specific equipment.
- Operate assigned equipment safely and efficiently.
- Keep records of time spent and materials used.
- Use precision measuring tools and equipment.
- Read drawings and blueprints.
- Be familiar with common machine and measuring tools, including micrometers and calipers.
- Add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
- Must be a US Citizen, Permanent Resident, or Green Card Holder.
