About the Role
Advantech Industries Inc. is recruiting a high-level Welder/Fabricator to fabricate ferrous and non-ferrous components for our customers.
Responsibilities
- Perform MIG, TIG, robotic, and spot welding to join components and produce consistent, straight weld beads.
- Read and interpret blueprints to ensure accuracy of welds and adherence to specifications.
- Set up and operate one or more work centers to support production requirements.
- Grind and finish welded parts to meet quality standards.
- Pull parts in and out of work areas as needed to maintain workflow.
Requirements
- Ability to TIG/MIG weld steel, stainless steel, and aluminum.
- Proficiency with metal fabrication tools common within the welding industry.
- Ability to lift and manipulate large metal objects.
- Familiarity with conducting in-process inspections using measuring devices such as calipers and height gages.
- Alignment with the requirements and principles of the Advantech Quality Management System and ISO 9001:2015.
- Skills to operate assigned equipment safely and efficiently.
- Capacity to handle changes in business operations and adjust to new situations.
- Preparedness to sit or stand for an extended period, lift or move heavy items, and operate welding equipment.
- Ability to work with limited supervision.
- AWS certification a plus.
- This position is restricted to US Citizens, Permanent Residents or Green Card Holders.
