About the Role
As a Duty Manager, you will help lead the hotel during your shift, working across reception, housekeeping, and the restaurant to ensure guests have a great stay and the team has everything they need. This role involves hands-on leadership on the floor, supporting your team and resolving guest issues.
Responsibilities
- Lead shifts across the hotel and deliver clear pre-shift briefings
- Support and coach team members throughout the day
- Help guests with questions and sort out problems
- Jump in to support different teams, from reception to the restaurant
- Spot issues early and put them right
- Help keep guests safe and the hotel running smoothly
- Work closely with the Hotel Manager and wider leadership team
Requirements
- Must be confident making decisions
- Must enjoy helping people
- Must stay calm when things get busy
- Experience leading people in a busy customer-facing environment is suitable
- Previous experience in retail, supermarkets, restaurants, pubs, leisure, healthcare, or customer service is beneficial
