About the Role

Kaizen is seeking its first dedicated events hire to build and own the company's events strategy. This role will focus on the federal conference circuit, including managing the calendar, budget, and vendor relationships to generate pipeline and qualified meetings. The position requires a strategic thinker with strong operational skills and the ability to build trusted relationships across the political spectrum.

Responsibilities

  • Own Kaizen's events strategy end-to-end.
  • Build and run the annual calendar, anchored to the federal buying year.
  • Evaluate conferences and sponsorships, negotiating terms and booth placement.
  • Own the physical presence, including booth design, demo staging, collateral, and swag.
  • Run the field motion alongside sales, including account targeting, outreach, and follow-up.
  • Own the satellite program around major shows, including executive dinners and briefings.
  • Secure speaker placements and manage content capture for events.
  • Scope and build Kaizen-hosted events, defining ownership and format.
  • Manage the events budget and build reporting tied to pipeline and qualified meetings.
  • Navigate federal ethics rules for gift and hospitality.

Requirements

  • 4-10 years in events, experiential marketing, or field marketing with direct ownership of strategy and budget.
  • Demonstrated experience owning a conference circuit.
  • Experience running events for federal or public sector buyers is a significant advantage.
  • Experience partnering with sales on targeting and follow-up.
  • Experience producing owned events such as dinners, roundtables, and summits.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Sound judgment under time pressure and public visibility.
