About the Role
SP+ is an artificial intelligence company focused on creating checkout-free parking experiences using computer vision. We are the largest parking network in America and are reinventing parking to give people back their time.
Responsibilities
- Ensure appropriate number of cars on location, parked correctly, and lot is clean.
- Direct incoming customers to available parking spaces.
- Count vehicles on location throughout shift.
- Issue violation warnings for garage policy infractions.
- Patrol parking levels on foot or in motor carts.
- Assist customers who have forgotten where they parked.
- Be present at work every scheduled day, on time and in uniform.
- Answer customer questions courteously and direct them to the Facility Manager if needed.
- Control traffic at entrances and exits.
- Assist with maintenance and repair of parking equipment and general maintenance tasks.
- Report accidents, policy violations, safety hazards, or unusual occurrences to the Facility Manager.
- Communicate debris, water, or oil spills to the garage office.
- Substitute for Valets when necessary, if authorized.
- Possess thorough knowledge of the garage, major streets, landmarks, and freeways.
- Assist Facility Manager with other duties as needed.
Requirements
- Ability to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
- Less than High School education or one month related experience, training or an equivalent combination.
- Valid state-issued driver’s license with acceptable driving record if driving a company vehicle or on company business.
- Ability to work 2nd shift, 3rd shift and/or week-ends may be required.
- Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.
- Ability to write simple correspondence.
- Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one situations.
- Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide two-digit numbers and perform operations using American currency.
- Maintain a neat and clean appearance and be in complete uniform at all times.
- Regularly required to stand and walk.
- Use hands to handle cash and equipment.
- Occasionally required to sit and climb or balance.
- Occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.
