About the Role
This is a rare opportunity to become Wellio’s second full-time marketer at a fast-growing global education company. You will have significant ownership from day one, including a meaningful budget, direct access to leadership, and the freedom to shape Wellio's global go-to-market strategy. The role focuses on scaling outbound efforts, managing and improving a global events program, and owning the global ABM strategy. This is a hands-on individual contributor role where you will manage 20-30 campaigns annually, driving qualified sales meetings and sharing accountability for pipeline generation.
Responsibilities
- Scale the outbound engine by running scaled EDM and outbound campaigns for SDR teams across Australia, the UK, and international markets.
- Identify audiences, build and segment lists, write copy, choose offers, QA and launch campaigns, monitor deliverability, and hand qualified interest to Sales.
- Improve outreach by combining school context, CRM history, intent, previous objections, customer proof, and market signals.
- Deliver against a target for qualified sales meetings and track reply quality, opportunities, and pipeline.
- Own and grow the global events program by identifying and recommending conferences worldwide.
- Manage budgets, bookings, suppliers, equipment, collateral, staffing, deadlines, and logistics for events.
- Set the audience, target accounts, commercial goal, and follow-up plan for events.
- Coordinate pre-event, onsite, and post-event activity across multiple channels.
- Track event success based on meetings, opportunities, pipeline, and market learning.
- Own the global ABM strategy by identifying and tiering priority accounts and buying groups.
- Decide on the appropriate level of investment for one-to-one, one-to-few, or one-to-many plays.
- Coordinate EDM, conferences, direct mail, LinkedIn, paid media, and content around account plans using account intelligence and market signals.
- Track engagement, qualified meetings, opportunities, and pipeline within target accounts.
- Build foundations for scale by codifying ICPs, segments, personas, buying groups, value propositions, and messages.
- Build practical workflows for research, segmentation, personalization, copy, QA, and reporting.
- Improve operational efficiency by connecting tools and identifying patterns.
- Build trusted relationships with leaders and reps across regions, translating field insight into action.
Requirements
- Hands-on B2B marketer with experience in growth, demand generation, lifecycle, field marketing, or outbound marketing.
- Proven ability to build or materially improve a B2B outbound or EDM engine, understanding the entire system from audience to measurement.
- Experience building or improving sales-aligned ABM programs, including account tiering and cross-channel campaign coordination.
- Strong marketing fundamentals, including translating insight into ICPs, positioning, value propositions, offers, and campaigns.
- Exceptional operational skills, including managing complex events and high-volume campaigns across markets and time zones.
- AI-fluent, with experience using AI and automation for research, analysis, writing, personalization, and workflow building.
- Ability to build trust with sales teams through clear communication, follow-through, and incorporating field feedback.
- Comfortable moving between strategy and execution, including writing copy, building campaigns, and making strategic trade-offs.
