About the Role
The Human Resources Generalist & Recruitment Specialist supports the employee lifecycle with a strong focus on proactive recruitment and outreach, onboarding and offboarding, HR operations, training and travel coordination, and employee engagement. The successful candidate will be proactive, highly organized, approachable, detail-oriented, and comfortable managing multiple priorities while maintaining confidentiality and providing excellent service to employees and candidates.
Responsibilities
- Engage with HR and management teams to align on tasks.
- Deliver results through individual and collaborative work.
- Build diverse candidate pipelines through various networks.
- Represent LASNNY at career fairs, networking events, and recruitment activities.
- Develop relationships with educational institutions and organizations.
- Identify new recruitment sources and post job openings.
- Screen applications, coordinate interviews, and communicate with candidates.
- Prepare offer letters and maintain recruitment records.
- Coordinate new hire onboarding, orientation, offboarding, and check-ins.
- Maintain accurate employee information across HR, benefits, payroll, and timekeeping systems.
- Coordinate new hire materials, announcements, and systems access.
- Prepare HR correspondence, reports, and employee documentation.
- Assist with payroll time-entry collection and other HR administrative functions.
- Coordinate registrations and logistics for employee trainings and professional development.
- Arrange employee travel, including flights, hotels, and transportation.
- Assist with staff events, wellness initiatives, and employee appreciation activities.
- Coordinate vendors, venues, materials, food, travel, and other event logistics.
- Support employee recognition, referral, benefits, and other HR programs.
- Serve as a resource for employees, candidates, managers, and leadership.
- Handle confidential information with professionalism and discretion.
- Support an inclusive, equitable, and respectful workplace.
- Assist with HR projects, process improvements, and department coverage.
Requirements
- 3-5 years of prior HR, recruiting, administrative, and/or event/travel coordination experience.
- Strong organizational, communication, and relationship-building skills.
- Proactive approach to recruitment, outreach, and networking.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong attention to detail, judgment, and discretion with confidential information.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and comfort learning HR and recruiting technology.
- Demonstrated commitment to LASNNY's mission and an inclusive and equitable workplace.
