About the Role
The Work, Stress and Health Program is seeking an Occupational Therapist to provide specialized assessment and outpatient treatment for individuals with complex concurrent conditions related to workplace accidents and trauma. This role involves working within a multidisciplinary team, delivering client-centered services, and supporting clients through their treatment and potential return to work.
Responsibilities
- Submit required reporting on time, meeting contractual requirements and quality standards.
- Collaborate effectively with clients, WSIB representatives, clinical partners, and stakeholders.
- Participate in multidisciplinary education and training, and potentially deliver training externally.
- Contribute to program development opportunities.
- Support new contracts within the Work Stress and Health program.
- Perform other related duties as required.
- Support a workplace that embraces diversity, encourages teamwork, and complies with regulatory requirements.
Requirements
- Registered and in good standing with the College of Occupational Therapists of Ontario (COTO).
- Master's degree in Occupational Therapy (or Bachelor's degree in OT plus Master's in OT, Rehab Sciences, or related field).
- Preferred: Three years of experience working with individuals with serious mental illness.
- Membership in the Ontario Society of Occupational Therapy and/or Canadian Association of Occupational Therapy.
- Holder of COTO's prerequisite Professional Liability Insurance.
- Preference for candidates with clinical experience with clients with chronic pain, addictions, and concurrent mood and anxiety disorders including PTSD/trauma.
- Asset: Experience providing assessment and treatment for work-related difficulties in a third-party context, including psychotherapy in a mental health setting.

- Familiarity with computer-based programs (Microsoft Office, electronic communication) and electronic health records.
- Ability to work with clients of diverse ethno racial and cultural backgrounds.
- Bilingualism (French/English) or proficiency in a second language is an asset.
