About the Role

The "Hafen" project is a special initiative of the foundation, providing a safe haven for 5 children aged 9 to 13 in acute crisis situations. It serves as a crucial link between the child protection service and the child's return to their family or a permanent living arrangement. You will work in a dedicated and diverse team, with the opportunity to significantly contribute to the development of this important project and make a real difference.

Responsibilities

Support children with all daily life and assistance-related questions as a primary caregiver.
Plan and document the assistance and development processes for each child, write reports, and contribute significantly to a goal-oriented "case understanding".
Organize and manage collaboration with external support systems (child protection service, youth welfare office, temporary teams, etc.), the child's family, and other stakeholders and institutions.
Initiate and partially conduct pedagogical and daily structuring activities for and with the children.
Work in a team-oriented manner, closely coordinating pedagogical and organizational matters with colleagues and the professional coordination.
Contribute effectively to the reflection and success of the action concept through your ideas and knowledge.
Participate in internal working groups on topics such as child protection, participation, etc.

Requirements

Completed degree in social work/social pedagogy or comparable qualification.
Experience working with children with complex care needs.
Practical knowledge in the area of child protection.
Work experience in assistance for upbringing.
Teamwork skills, empathy, and resilience in challenging situations.
A big heart combined with professional commitment.
