About the Role
Nourish's growth depends on provider supply, and every provider passes through our onboarding funnel. Provider Onboarding owns activation, focused on taking a dietitian, medical provider, or therapist from signed offer to confidently seeing their first patient. This team sets the stage for a successful provider start, leading to faster starts, longer retention, and better performance. As Director of Provider Onboarding, you will own this function end-to-end, managing the team, operating model, and systems. This role involves optimizing the existing dietitian onboarding process and creating the initial onboarding approach for new provider types like Medical and Therapy.
Responsibilities
- Own provider activation across every provider type, diagnosing where providers stall and building systems for improvement.
- Build and develop the onboarding team, including hiring, scaling, and establishing performance expectations and accountability.
- Design the operating model and systems using CRM, sequencing, and LMS tooling to automate low-value touchpoints.
- Stand up onboarding for new provider types (Medical and Therapy), determining shared infrastructure versus provider-specific needs.
- Own the capacity and ROI model, building headcount and investment plans for future activation improvements.
- Partner cross-functionally with product, recruiting, and provider strategy to ensure thoughtful handoffs and a great provider experience that increases supply and drives NPS.
Requirements
- 8+ years of experience, ideally in a marketplace, provider network, or high-growth startup environment.
- Experience owning a critical funnel metric end-to-end and structurally improving key funnel metrics.
- Experience building and leading a front-line operations team, including performance management and accountability to targets.
- Strong instincts for systems and automation, identifying which human touchpoints to replace and which to protect.
- Comfortable with data analysis, including cohort analysis, caseload modeling, and building ROI cases for headcount.
- High standards for the provider experience.
- Ability to navigate ambiguity, roadblocks, and challenges to achieve outcomes.
Location
- NYC-based
Work Type
- Full-time
- In-person 3-4 days per week
- Some remote flexibility
Experience Level
- 8+ years
About the Company
- Health is the most important thing in life, and the American healthcare system is completely broken - poor outcomes, high cost, bad patient experience. We're building a new system from the ground up.
- Our mission is to improve people’s health by making it easy to live a healthy lifestyle.
- Nourish is the country's largest dietitian-led metabolic health clinic.
- We’re an AI-native digital health system matching patients with 10,000+ Registered Dietitians, physicians, medications, lab testing, and AI agents to deliver insurance-covered care across all 50 states.
- Founded four years ago, we've completed millions of appointments, tripled year-over-year, and partnered with health plans covering 200M+ Americans across 250+ health systems.
- In 2026 we raised a $100M Series C, bringing total funding to $215M.
- We hold an extremely high bar because we believe talent density is our biggest competitive advantage.
- We're looking for people who actively choose hard, ambiguous problems, who run toward unglamorous work, give and receive candid feedback, and bring relentless resilience without the ego.
- Our work is important, but we are not self-important. We do this because we’re solving one of the hardest problems in the world, and the problem matters.
- If that's you, we disproportionately reward it.
