About the Role
Westlake Dermatology has an immediate opening for a Medical Assistant to support a provider at our Southwest Parkway location. This role is crucial for patient care, assisting with procedures, patient education, and administrative tasks in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities
- Assist the physician with patient care, including obtaining history, chief complaint, and consents.
- Assist with cosmetic procedures (including Botox, fillers, etc.).
- Prepare exam rooms, escort patients, and prepare them for the provider.
- Assist in patient education regarding aftercare protocols and post-treatment expectations.
- Perform EHR charting.
- Stock and turn over exam rooms.
- Review and manage schedules to ensure appropriate appointment booking.
- Ensure necessary supplies for procedures are available.
Requirements
- Prior EHR (EMA) experience is a plus.
- Prior dermatology or plastic surgery experience is preferred.
- Ability to stand for long periods of time.

Experience Level
- 1-2 years of prior experience in a dermatology or cosmetic/surgical clinic setting working as a medical assistant or clinical assistant preferred
Education Level
- High school diploma plus either completion of a college degree or a Medical Assistant program required
- Medical assistant certification is preferred
Salary/Compensations
- $18.00 - $20 per hour
