About the Role
This role offers hands-on exposure to SIEM operations, incident handling, threat hunting, risk assessment, and audit preparation within the Information Security team. You will gain practical experience with tools like Microsoft Sentinel, Defender, Intune, and Azure Security Center, while contributing to critical security functions and learning from experienced professionals.
Responsibilities
- Monitor and review security logs and alerts using Microsoft Sentinel.
- Develop and tune detection rules, workbooks, and playbooks.
- Identify potential threats, anomalies, and indicators of compromise.
- Escalate and act on actionable alerts with the InfoSec team.
- Participate in incident handling efforts, including identification, containment, investigation, and remediation.
- Identify root causes and conduct post-incident reviews.
- Assist in developing detection use cases and contribute to threat hunting activities.
- Document incidents, findings, and remediation actions.
- Assist in conducting comprehensive risk assessments.
- Review and document risks, recommend mitigations, and track remediation efforts.
- Follow up with risk owners on risk mitigation.
- Evaluate third-party vendors and suppliers for security compliance.
- Coordinate with suppliers to gather security information and ensure policy compliance.
- Assist in preparing documentation and evidence for ISO 27001 and other audits.
- Facilitate internal and external audit processes.
- Aid the Information Security Team in daily operations, tickets, and administrative tasks.
- Maintain and update security policies, procedures, and documentation.
Requirements
- Currently pursuing a degree in Information Security, Cybersecurity, Computer Science, or a related field.
- Basic knowledge of information security fundamentals and practices.
- Familiarity with risk assessment methodologies and audit frameworks (ISO 27001, TISAX).
- Strong critical-thinking and problem-solving skills.
