About the Role
Seeking an experienced Housekeeper/Cook for a private residence in Toronto, responsible for ensuring overall cleanliness, organization, and regular meal preparation.
Responsibilities
- Perform daily housekeeping duties including dusting, vacuuming, kitchen and bathroom cleaning, and washing floors.
- Prepare dinners for the family, prep groceries, and stock the fridge with snacks and other items.
- Maintain household inventory and prepare inventory checklists.
- Handle daily laundry, including occasional ironing, steaming, and stain removal.
- Manage trash and recycling.
- Run errands, including grocery shopping and other provisioning.
- Cover and uncover outdoor furniture.
- Undertake special projects such as quarterly deep cleans, household cupboard reorganization, and vacuuming vehicle interiors and garage.
- Perform other duties as required.
Requirements
- Previous experience working in a private residence.
- Excellent housekeeping, laundry, and ironing skills.
- Proficiency in using products and methods for fine finishes and surfaces.
- Preference for using all-natural cleaning products.
- Strong cooking and food preparation skills.
- Ability to maintain privacy, confidentiality, diplomacy, discretion, and respect for boundaries.
- Valid Ontario driver's license.
- Access to a personal vehicle is an asset.
- Must be legally entitled to work in Canada.
