About the Role
Perry Street Europe (PSE) is seeking a Senior UI/UX Designer to collaborate with product managers and engineers on developing mobile apps for the Gay, Bi, Trans, and Queer community. This role involves solving user problems through design, testing concepts, advancing design systems and features, and delivering polished, engineering-ready UI.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with product managers and engineers to solve user problems with design.
- Test concepts.
- Contribute to and advance design systems and new features.
- Deliver polished, engineering-ready UI.
- Craft clear, strategic, and visually exceptional interfaces and in-app creative that elevate the brand.
- Plan lightweight user tests, gather insights, and apply findings to ongoing projects.
- Host design reviews and workshops to align stakeholders and generate ideas.
- Collaborate with engineers to balance design quality with technical feasibility.
- Drive clarity across product, marketing, and engineering.
- Work with agile teams and iterative delivery.
Requirements
- 5+ years in product design, UI/UX, or visual design.
- 2-3 years in consumer-facing native mobile apps.
- Demonstrable portfolio of work highlighting past projects where you collaborated with Product Management to design user flows, test concepts, refine UI/UX, and deliver polished design work.
- Proficient in Figma, including component libraries and motion prototypes.
- Demonstrated ability to define a visual style and guide other designers or contractors in executing it consistently.
- Experience contributing to or evolving a design system across multiple products.
- Strong understanding of composition, typography, and storytelling for in-app surfaces and campaigns.
- Organized, self-directed, and skilled at driving clarity across product, marketing, and engineering.
