About the Role
The Surveillance Agent is responsible for monitoring casino activities to ensure compliance with regulations and internal policies, including soft/hard count operations and adherence to departmental procedures. The role involves reviewing and enforcing policies to maintain the integrity of casino operations.
Responsibilities
- Attend daily briefings and meetings, participating positively.
- Ensure smooth operation of the Surveillance Department by following policies and procedures.
- Write clear, concise, factual reports without personal opinion.
- Operate surveillance equipment and report malfunctions.
- Document, observe, tape, and report violations of regulations, policies, or procedures.
- Interact with law enforcement in investigations of criminal activity on company property.
- Monitor currency transports according to casino procedures.
- Complete tasks, department assignments, and projects by deadlines.
- Evaluate information to make decisions impacting the department.
- Assess courses of action and implement based on findings.
- Provide advice and expertise based on gathered information.
- Ensure the integrity of gambling, banking, count room, and cash handling procedures.
- Understand table games rules and policies for all gaming and cash handling areas.
- Handle confidential information, reports, incidents, and materials properly.
- Inform senior management of information necessary for efficient casino operation.
- Communicate effectively, verbally and in writing, to provide clear direction.
- Conduct oneself in a gracious, kind, warm, professional, courteous, and responsive manner.
- Perform other duties as assigned by management.
- Attend required training sessions.
- Obtain required licenses.
- Perform duties in compliance with local laws and regulations.
- Ensure minors are not allowed to gamble, loiter in gambling areas, drink alcohol, or purchase tobacco.
- Maintain knowledge of ordinances, regulations, laws, policies, and procedures related to the department.
- Maintain knowledge of the property’s programs to address problem gambling.
- Consult with appropriate individuals and maintain written policies and procedures for compliance.
- Investigate exceptions, fraud, and potential violations and report them to management.
- Report any acts of wrongdoing by Team Members.
Requirements
- Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
- Ability to interpret a variety of technical and mathematical formulas.
- Ability to interpret and follow a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram or schedule form.
- Ability to effectively communicate with all levels of Team Members and outside contacts.

- Ability to present information and respond to questions from groups of managers or staff, guests, and the general public.
- Ability to maintain confidential information.
Skills
- Knowledge of Surveillance Emergency Operation Plan
- Knowledge of the ordinances, regulations, laws, policies, and procedures relating to the Team Member’s department
- Knowledge of the property’s programs to address problem gambling
