About the Role
As a Service Engineer, you will play a key role in supporting and growing our Automation business by working with advanced QCS and AMP installations. You will help customers improve reliability and performance, gaining hands-on experience in installation, commissioning, maintenance, troubleshooting, and customer support. This role offers an exciting opportunity to grow your expertise in the pulp and paper industry by solving technical challenges and building strong customer relationships.
Responsibilities
- Install, commission, maintain, and troubleshoot QCS and AMP systems at customer sites, ensuring reliable operation and customer satisfaction.
- Act as the primary customer contact, build strong relationships, identify support, training, and upgrade opportunities, and proactively follow up on installed equipment.
- Deliver preventive and reactive service activities, provide on-call support when required, and ensure service work is completed safely and efficiently.
- Collaborate with sales and service teams to identify lifecycle upgrade opportunities, support project execution, and contribute to service growth across the region.
- Maintain accurate service records, prepare monthly reports, share knowledge with colleagues, and support continuous improvement initiatives at customer sites.
Requirements
- Up to 3 years of relevant experience; experience with QCS and AMP systems is considered an advantage.
- Working proficiency in English and strong communication and teamwork skills.
- Organized, self-disciplined, responsive, and comfortable managing multiple priorities in a customer-focused environment.
- Regular travel and extended periods working at customer sites, with participation in on-call support when needed.
- Ability to work independently, solve day-to-day technical issues, communicate effectively with customers and colleagues, and continuously develop product expertise.
- Proactive mindset, strong customer focus, and commitment to safe working practices are essential.
