About the Role

The Trainer, Learning and Development is responsible for the quality training of staff, overseeing training functions and processes. This role collaborates with leadership to address key training needs and facilitates training to ensure staff meet compliance standards, including CPR and CPI de-escalation.

Responsibilities

  • Become a certified Crisis Prevention Institute (CPI) Nonviolent Crisis Intervention instructor
  • Attend training to become certified trainer in other necessary areas (e.g., CPR) and facilitate training
  • Maintain certification(s) in good standing
  • Facilitate bi-weekly CPI and CPR training
  • Facilitate bi-weekly onboarding training
  • Support setup, management, and ongoing management of the organization’s Learning Management System (LMS), Relias
  • Record and maintain data on training outcomes, attendance, and learning metrics
  • Provide ongoing administrative support for the Human Resources department
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience
  • 3 years of in-person training experience
  • 2 years of working in virtual training environments
  • Prior experience with Learning Management Systems required
  • Demonstrated problem solving skills
  • Exemplary communication skills both verbal and written
  • Excellent public speaking skills
  • Dynamic facilitation and presentation skills
  • Experience delivering high quality, impactful training in a high-volume setting
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite programs including Word, Excel, Outlook, and Microsoft Teams
