About the Role

Responsibilities
- Assist in interviewing and hiring direct care staff and other positions.
- Implement agency and program-specific policies and procedures, recommending changes.
- Provide administrative and professional supervision of direct care staff using the Interactional Supervision Model.
- Ensure direct care staff receive required orientations, in-services, and resident-specific trainings.
- Inform the Director of personnel issues and recommend progressive discipline or termination.
- Develop and maintain weekly direct care staff schedules, monitor overtime, and minimize hours.
- Complete quarterly staffing reports.
- Conduct staff meetings.
- Communicate essential information regarding residents, staff, building, and community interactions.
- Oversee general maintenance and upkeep of the house, furnishings, and equipment.
- Participate in program development for each resident as part of the interdisciplinary treatment team.
- Work with residents on their Program Plan, providing health, physical care, and administering medications.
- Engage in regular shift observations for oversight and supervision, maintaining a log.
- Accurately complete all required documentation using PrecisionCare software and written forms.
- Conduct regular documentation audits for accuracy and completeness for billing purposes.
- Evaluate residents' self-preservation skills.
- Schedule and monitor fire drills and emergency evacuation plans.
- Participate in meetings with interdisciplinary team members, parents, and agency personnel.
- Be available on-call for emergencies such as hospitalizations, staff problems, and household emergencies.
- Collaborate with school/day service providers to formulate programming and resolve related issues.
- Coordinate meetings and visits relevant to Admission/Discharge procedures.
- Coordinate and maintain agency spending within the operating budget.
- Review and sign all receipts to confirm purchases are appropriate.
- Conduct regular balance checks of house petty cash and residents' personal allowance.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the manager.
Requirements
- Minimum of 3 years working with people with developmental disabilities, with at least 2 years in an OPWDD certified program.
- Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English, including interpreting documents like safety rules and policy manuals.
- Must be able to work independently and within a team.
Skills
- Supervisory experience

Salary/Compensations
- $62,000-$75,000 per year
