About the Role
As a Junior Planning Engineer for District Heating System Analysis, you will analyze, model, and evaluate technical interdependencies within the network and generation system. You will support the further development of the system and the strategic expansion of district heating supply, gradually taking on your own tasks and gaining insights into key issues of plant efficiency and renewal. You will contribute to the transformation towards a sustainable and future-proof energy system.
Responsibilities
- Support the analysis, modeling, and simulation of technical interdependencies in the district heating system and contribute to the further development of the network and feed-ins.
- Evaluate connection possibilities, dimensioning, and implementation variants of district heating projects and define the technical requirements for their implementation.
- Work on hydraulic analyses for system planning issues and support the evaluation of their impact on the district heating system.
- Record, evaluate, document, and visualize technical data and analysis results.
- Accompany the transformation of the district heating system, particularly through the integration of renewable energies, external feed-ins, and new generation technologies.
- Utilize and link various technical systems and data sources to derive reliable planning bases for system interdependencies.
Requirements
- Completed degree in engineering, energy technology, or a comparable field.
- Basic knowledge of the heating industry or energy technology systems and an interest in learning about district heating supply.
- Initial practical experience with technical models, simulations, or energy technology issues (e.g., during studies, internships, or as a working student).
- Structured and analytical working style with an interest in understanding new technical contexts.
- Open communication and teamwork skills, with a willingness to learn and take initiative.
- Clear communication and enjoyment of teamwork.
- Fluent German language skills at least at C1 level.
