About the Role
Healing Partners is an industry leader in wound care, elevating standard practices within Skilled Nursing Facilities. Responsibilities
- Plan, direct, and evaluate resident and employee healthcare in long-term care settings.
- Travel daily to various facilities, with regions varying based on scheduling needs.
- Examine and treat chronic and acute wound-related illnesses, accidents, and minor injuries.
- Interpret diagnostic tests and recommend appropriate follow-up care.
- Consult with and update physicians, write prescriptions, and perform bedside procedures related to wound care.
- Collaborate with the medical director on resident and staff care and treatment.
- Perform debridement of wounds using various methods and associated procedures.
- Apply and manage topical wound care products and associated management solutions.
- Provide direction and recommendations for services to improve wound healing outcomes.
- Educate patients and Primary Care Physicians on current wound management practices.
Requirements
- Proof of Covid vaccination.
- Must be currently licensed as a registered nurse in the state.
- Current Active, unrestricted state APRN license or ability to obtain prior to hire.
- Successful completion of an approved nurse practitioner program.
- Current approval by the Board of Nursing to perform medical acts.
- Master’s degree of Nursing.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Able to stand and walk for 4+ hours.
- Able to lift 100 pounds to assist fallen residents.
- Able to lift 10 pounds for routine performance of essential functions.
- Able to push/pull 70+ pounds when administering patient care.
- Able to bend/squat/kneel/twist when administering patient care.
- Possess depth perception when performing medical procedures.
- May be exposed to adverse indoor and outdoor environmental conditions, bloodborne pathogens, physical hazards, and chemical hazards.
- Will travel to multiple Skilled Nursing Facilities within your local area.
- The position requires Covid vaccination.
