About the Role
We are seeking a Principal Product Manager with a strong background in digital transformation and product consulting to join our cross-functional delivery teams. This role involves unlocking speed to impact in launching new propositions by mixing entrepreneurial thinking with global organization resources. You will set projects on the right track, ensure high quality, and provide expertise to validate desirability, build, and launch new digital products and services. You will lead, influence, and collaborate with cross-functional teams, acting as a liaison between Red Badger and the client to co-create the product vision, own the backlog, and connect business strategy with end-user value. You will also support and grow Red Badger’s Product Management capability and team, sharing expertise internally and externally.
Responsibilities
- Define and drive clients' product strategy and vision.
- Lead multi-disciplinary teams in designing, validating, and building products and services.
- Work with senior/executive stakeholders to identify and overcome organizational challenges in product delivery.
- Identify and prioritize user value, balancing business and user needs for successful product launches and iterations.
- Champion the product discipline on complex digital transformation projects.
- Advocate for Product Management, User-Centred Design, lean user testing, research, and data-driven UXD.
- Drive continuous improvement, quality, and project delivery, enabling businesses to make tradeoffs for quick value delivery.
- Become a trusted advisor to clients, solving problems and creating products that deliver business and user value.
- Build strong relationships with leadership teams of industry-leading organizations.
- Rapidly build domain expertise within client industries and identify new market and user segments.
- Communicate confidently to a broad range of stakeholders and client teams.
- Share knowledge and experience internally and externally to grow others.
- Support building, hiring, and inspiring Product Strategists and Managers.
- Provide leadership and mentorship to a team of Product Strategists and Managers.
- Encourage thought leadership and develop industry-leading value propositions for Red Badger.
- Champion Red Badger’s ways of working, including cross-functional teams, agile and lean best practices.
- Understand and communicate the complete value chain (Engineering, QA, UXD, Insights, and Delivery).
- Act as an ambassador for Red Badger and advocate for 'doing the right thing' and 'doing the thing right'.
Requirements
- Expertise in your discipline, willing to share knowledge and experience internally and externally.
- Proven track record of identifying user and business needs, testing product/market fit, incubating, and launching new digital products and services successfully in complex environments.
- Experience in large-scale digital product development, ideally with agency or consultancy background.
- Ability to use data to drive decisions and help others do the same.
- Exceptional communication, negotiation, and facilitation skills, with the ability to tailor messages to audiences.
- Growth mindset: continuous learning, curiosity, willingness to test and learn from failure.
- Proactive approach to identifying and implementing improvements.
- Honest and direct communication style, providing clear points-of-view.
- Demonstrated ability to play a key role in company growth and contribute to strategic initiatives.
