About the Role
As a Senior Group IT Infrastructure Engineer, you will translate our infrastructure strategy into future-proof technical solutions and actively shape the further development of our system landscapes. You will work at the interface between strategy and technical implementation, develop group-wide standards, accompany complex infrastructure projects, and support our companies in building modern, secure, and scalable IT environments. You will benefit from a high degree of creative freedom, short decision-making paths, and the opportunity to significantly shape the technological future of our corporate group.
Responsibilities
- Design infrastructure architectures: Develop the group-wide target architecture for our Microsoft, network, and infrastructure landscapes and define sustainable technical standards for the corporate group.
- Analyze and develop system landscapes: Evaluate existing IT environments, identify standardization and consolidation potentials, and develop pragmatic solutions for historically grown infrastructures.
- Advance Microsoft 365 & Modern Workplace: Take responsibility for the technical further development of our Microsoft 365 platforms and design modern, secure, and future-proof work environments. Contribute your expertise in Exchange, Teams, SharePoint, Entra ID, Intune, and Active Directory.
- Accompany migrations and infrastructure projects: Plan and support group-wide migrations, integrations, and transformation projects from conception to successful implementation.
- Develop roadmaps and technical target images: Work with our companies to develop future-proof infrastructure roadmaps and support their long-term technological development.
- Steer technical collaboration: Act as the central point of contact for the IT managers of our companies and external service providers, and provide support for complex technical issues related to infrastructure, network, security, and identity management.
Requirements
- You have several years of experience in planning, developing, and supporting complex IT infrastructures and are comfortable working between architecture and technical implementation.
- You have sound knowledge of Microsoft 365, Entra ID, Intune, Active Directory, as well as modern cloud and hybrid infrastructures.
- Technologies such as Firewall, VPN, DNS, DHCP, Identity & Access Management, and automation with PowerShell are part of your technical toolkit.
- You work in a structured, solution-oriented manner and maintain an overview even with complex technical interrelationships.
- You can communicate technical issues appropriately to the target audience and interact confidently with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
