About the Role
As a Product Manager, you will be part of the Products department, managing, developing, and improving pension and life insurance products. You will translate customer needs, market opportunities, commercial objectives, and regulations into concrete product choices, ensuring products meet customer needs and align with the latest insights from legislation and market developments.
Responsibilities

- Translating customer needs, market opportunities, commercial objectives, and regulations into concrete product choices.
- Ensuring products meet customer needs and align with the latest insights from legislation and market developments.
- Overseeing the entire product chain from customer needs and market developments to implementation, management, and evaluation.
- Actively contributing to the further development of Athora's products as the content owner of your product domain.
- Collaborating intensively with colleagues within and outside the Products team.
- Developing product visions, product improvements, and new propositions.
- Analyzing market developments, regulations, customer needs, competition, and commercial opportunities.
- Translating these insights independently into product proposals that contribute to Athora's strategic objectives.
- Ensuring products comply with PARP guidelines, legislation, and internal policy frameworks.
- Directing multidisciplinary assessments of product changes.
- Actively maintaining relationships with Sales, Marketing, IT, Change, Legal, Compliance, Risk, Tax, and management.
- Identifying issues in the product and service delivery chain and proposing structural solutions.
- Independently writing decision-making memos for management according to PARP guidelines.
- Explicitly stating the customer, commercial, financial, operational, and compliance considerations that are part of a proposal.
- Actively contributing to Athora's product strategy.
Requirements
- HBO+/WO work and thinking level.
- Minimum of 7 years of relevant work experience in the Dutch pension sector.
- Extensive experience with product management and stakeholder management.
- Excellent analytical skills.
- Excellent writing skills for policy and decision-making memos.
- Excellent command of the Dutch and English languages, both spoken and written.
- Knowledge of pension products.
- Knowledge of Agile/SAFe.
- Wft Basis and Wft Pensioen or willingness to obtain them within one year.
- Knowledge of life insurance products, data analysis, SFDR, or sustainability is a plus.
