Responsibilities

Comprehensive discovery: Understanding customer and prospect requirements in the context of their desired business outcomes.
Deal progression: Working in close partnership with the sales team to progress opportunities.
Manage technical sales progression from discovery to technical win.
Build sales presentations and product demonstrations.
Educate customers on the best ways to use cloud security technology.
Perform solution validation through custom demonstrations and supporting customer-led PoCs.
Empathize with customers to quickly discern their true technical needs by asking detailed questions and presenting targeted solutions.
Advise diverse customers on the capabilities of the Auth0 Identity Platform using technical savviness and business insights.
Maintain a broad and deep technical understanding of the Auth0 product line and underlying technologies and protocols.
Proactively engage in local and regional sales and marketing events.

Requirements

Experience working in a Pre-Sales role as a Sales Engineer or Solutions Engineer.
Ability to quickly articulate complex technical ideas, ideally on a whiteboard.
Experience in a customer-facing role such as consulting, support, teaching, or pre-sales.
Experience with at least one standard identity protocol (e.g., OIDC, OAuth2, SAML, LDAP).
Strong development background with proficiency in at least one backend stack (e.g., Java, C#, Node.js, Python, PHP, Ruby) and a popular frontend stack (e.g., React, Angular, Vue).
Experience working with REST APIs and SDKs.
Understanding of core security concerns within a typical application (password hashing, SSL/TLS, encryption at rest, XSS, XSRF).
Excellent communication skills and ability to articulate business value.
Ability to disperse knowledge to a highly skilled and experienced audience.
Natural ability to build relationships, listen, and manage time well.
Enjoy travel and meeting customers.
