About the Role
As an Education Officer at HateAid, you will design and deliver targeted educational programs on online hate and digital citizenship, both online and in person. You will be responsible for planning, executing, and following up on events and workshops, developing innovative formats, and collaborating with partners to provide sustainable education and empower individuals to combat digital hate.
Responsibilities
- Conception and delivery of educational events, seminars, and workshops (online, hybrid, and in-person)
- Independent organization of appointments, travel, and coordination with organizers
- Professional support and advice for participants and multipliers
- Cooperation and networking with partner organizations, educational institutions, and authorities
- Evaluation and quality assurance of existing and new educational offerings
- Creation of digital educational and informational materials
- Strategic co-design of educational work from the conception of new formats to the development of long-term educational strategies within the company
Requirements
- Experience in planning and conducting educational events, ideally at least 2 years, e.g., in adult education or political education
- Completed studies in humanities and/or social sciences (e.g., social work, social pedagogy, psychology, educational sciences) or a relevant vocational training. Personality and experience are more important than degrees.
- Confident didactic competence and methodological diversity to design workshops interactively and target-group-oriented (e.g., with tools like PowerPoint, Menti, or similar applications)
- Socio-political commitment and motivation to actively combat digital violence
- Confident handling of digital tools for organization, communication, and presentation, especially with the MS Office suite
- Willingness to travel for weekly business trips nationwide and work on weekends by arrangement
- Residence in Germany and willingness for regular appointments at the Berlin location
- Fluent German and good English skills, both written and spoken
