- Develop a strong understanding of insurance client needs, regulatory developments, and investment considerations affecting insurance companies across Europe and internationally, translating these insights into actionable client and business opportunities.
- Contribute to the development of investment solutions and portfolio structures, incorporating insurance-specific regulatory, capital, accounting, and investment considerations.
- Support Requests for Information (RFIs), Requests for Proposals (RFPs), and other business development initiatives, providing insurance market expertise, investment insights, and content to help position State Street Investment Management's capabilities and support successful client outcome.
- Develop strong partnerships with portfolio management, product, and investment teams to maintain a deep understanding of State Street Investment Management capabilities, particularly across fixed income, ETFs, and portfolio solutions, and act as a subject matter expert for internal stakeholders.
- Provide market and competitive intelligence to business leadership, client-facing teams, and other stakeholders on insurance industry trends, investment themes, ETFs, and competitor activity relevant to insurance investors.
- Develop insurance-focused thought leadership, market insights, and client materials to support client engagement and strengthen the firm’s profile in the insurance sector.
- Monitor regulatory, market, and industry developments impacting insurance companies and support regulatory advocacy initiatives where appropriate, helping identify emerging risks and opportunities for clients and the business.
Requirements
- Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to articulate complex investment and insurance-related topics to both internal and external audiences.
- Strong knowledge of the insurance industry, including regulatory, capital, accounting, and investment considerations affecting insurance companies, and experience discussing investment solutions with insurance clients or prospects.
- Ability to build and maintain strong working relationships across client coverage, marketing, product, and investment teams, supporting client engagement initiatives, research projects, and business development activities.
- Knowledge of ETFs and other investment solutions, including their potential applications within insurance portfolios and broader asset allocation frameworks.
- A solutions-oriented mindset, strong commercial awareness, and the ability to work effectively in a collaborative and fast-paced environment.
- High levels of integrity, professionalism, and accountability, with a commitment to delivering an exceptional client experience.
- Strong understanding of insurance regulatory, capital, accounting, and investment frameworks, and their implications for portfolio construction and investment decision-making.
- Experience engaging with insurance companies, consultants, or other institutional investors on investment strategy, asset allocation, portfolio construction, or related topics.
