About the Role

CC&L FG is seeking a Manager, Constraints Governance & Process Engineering to establish and scale a new capability within the Portfolio Compliance team. This role is crucial for developing the firm's Constraints Governance Framework and enhancing the processes, controls, workflows, and technology that manage investment restrictions.

Responsibilities

Help build and operationalize the firm's Constraints Governance Framework, including processes, controls, standards, and governance practices.
Develop expertise in the investment constraint lifecycle and serve as a subject matter expert on its governance.
Partner with Portfolio Compliance, Front Office, Product, Legal, and Operations teams to translate constraint requirements into clear processes and controls.
Establish and maintain governance workflows for constraint intake, interpretation, approval, coding, testing, implementation, and review.
Identify and lead initiatives to simplify, standardize, and automate inefficient or manual processes.
Design and support the implementation of workflow and automation solutions using Power Automate and other technologies.
Gather business requirements, evaluate solutions, and collaborate with technology teams on enhancements.
Coordinate testing, implementation, and change management for new processes and technologies.
Design and implement reporting solutions using Power BI and Microsoft Power Platform for KPIs and operational metrics.
Develop and maintain governance documentation, operating procedures, and process maps.
Support strategic initiatives within Portfolio Compliance and Operations Risk.

Requirements

5+ years of experience in an asset management environment (Investment Operations, Portfolio Compliance, Operational Risk, Compliance Technology, Business Analysis, Process Improvement, or related).
Strong understanding of process design, workflow management, operational controls, and governance practices.
Understanding of investment management processes and the lifecycle of investment restrictions or compliance monitoring.
Demonstrated experience leading process improvement, technology implementation, automation, or business transformation initiatives.
Experience designing or implementing workflow, automation, process management, or technology solutions.
Continuous improvement mindset with a track record of identifying inefficiencies and implementing solutions.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Ability to translate business needs into requirements and work with business and technology stakeholders.
Excellent communication and relationship management skills.
Strong organizational and project management skills.
Experience with Charles River, workflow technologies, Microsoft Power Platform, AI-enabled tools, or similar business technologies is considered an asset.
Experience developing reports, dashboards, and visualizations using Power BI or similar tools.
