About the Role

The Senior Manager, Account Executive Operations is responsible for implementing configuration for international systems within Capital One’s Global Payment Network. This role owns the risk and control framework for key operational processes, such as settlement. The individual will manage a team of direct reports and non-associate labor resources, acting as an advocate for the team's goals and demonstrating a continuous improvement mindset to streamline manual work. This position plans, directs, and coordinates team efforts to deliver superior results for internal and external partners, and develops and coaches teams to identify, manage, and escalate risk.

Responsibilities

  • Directs and manages daily workflow to provide premier internal and external partner support and manages escalations.
  • Provides oversight to continuous improvement of risk management, including audits and controls for settlement processes.
  • Manages a team, displaying a passion for developing their team through their leadership style.
  • Plans and prepares team schedules and assigns projects, tasks, and assignments.
  • Monitors team performance to ensure goals and deadlines are met, company policies are followed, and company initiatives are supported.

Requirements

  • People Leadership experience, including direct management.
  • Experience within the financial services or payments industry, especially within Settlement and system configuration.
  • Experience in developing procedures, assessing risks, and deploying controls to mitigate financial or regulatory risks for operational activities.
  • Strong executive presence and communication skills, with the ability to translate complex technical issues into clear, actionable insights.
  • Proven ability to define and track Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to measure and improve operational efficiency.
  • Collaborative, solution-oriented mindset with solid teamwork skills; proven ability to drive results by working across functions.
  • Strong organizational skills, and focus on achieving both short and long term goals.
