About the Role

This broad, highly visible, and hands-on role involves developing and executing the UK marketing and communications plan to increase brand awareness, support commercial performance, and accelerate product adoption. You will manage local marketing initiatives including events, trade shows, PR, brand campaigns, and social media, working closely with Sales, Product, and Growth teams to adapt global strategies for the UK market.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute a UK marketing and communications plan aligned with sunday’s commercial and growth objectives.
  • Translate global campaigns and priorities into locally relevant UK activity.
  • Manage the UK marketing calendar, priorities and external partners.
  • Establish clear objectives and reporting for UK marketing activity.
  • Own sunday’s UK events and trade show strategy.
  • Identify the most relevant restaurant, hospitality, technology and payments events for the business.
  • Manage end-to-end event execution, including objectives, messaging, stand presence, collateral, logistics, speakers, follow-up and performance measurement.
  • Work with Sales to turn events into meaningful commercial opportunities.
  • Explore opportunities for sunday leaders, customers and partners to participate in panels, talks and industry discussions.
  • Develop and manage the UK referral marketing programme.
  • Own UK PR and communications activity, with support from external agencies where relevant.
  • Develop press releases, media pitches, opinion pieces, executive communications and thought leadership content.
  • Secure relevant media coverage, interviews, speaking opportunities and industry recognition.
  • Support communications around UK customer wins, partnerships, product launches and company announcements.
  • Lead the local marketing and communications plan for UK product launches.
  • Own sunday’s UK social media presence and local editorial calendar.
  • Create and publish relevant, engaging content for restaurant owners, operators, partners and industry audiences.
  • Work with restaurant customers, partners and internal experts to develop authentic stories and content.
  • Lead the development and execution of UK brand campaigns.
  • Work with creative, content and external agency partners to produce high-quality campaign assets.
  • Measure brand campaign performance through reach, engagement, awareness and commercial impact.
  • Work closely with the Growth team on the planning and localisation of campaigns.
  • Provide UK market insights to inform audience targeting, messaging and campaign execution.
  • Adapt global digital acquisition campaigns for the UK without owning the underlying acquisition strategy.
  • Ensure that marketing activity supports the full customer journey, from awareness through to conversion and expansion.
  • Share local performance data and customer feedback with the Growth team.

Requirements

  • Four to six years of experience in marketing, communications, PR, field marketing or integrated marketing.
  • Previous experience working in restaurant technology, hospitality technology, POS, payments, restaurant SaaS or a closely related business.
  • Experience owning marketing activity for a specific country or market.
  • Proven experience planning and delivering events, trade shows or industry activations.
  • Experience managing PR, media relations or external communications.
  • Experience developing brand campaigns and localising global marketing initiatives.
  • Experience creating content for social media, websites, newsletters, sales materials and customer communications.
  • Experience working closely with Sales, Product, Growth and senior stakeholders.
  • Strong project management skills and the ability to manage several priorities at the same time.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • A strong understanding of the UK restaurant and hospitality ecosystem.
  • A commercially minded approach, with the ability to connect marketing activity to pipeline, revenue, brand awareness and product adoption.
  • The confidence to work independently, take ownership and build structure in a growing market.
  • A practical, hands-on attitude. You are comfortable developing the plan, briefing an agency and managing the details of execution.
