About the Role

As Lead Pre-Sales, you will be responsible for the technical and operational management of our pre-sales team for photovoltaic and heat pump solutions. You will ensure that leads are qualified quickly, professionally, and successfully, meeting agreed-upon appointment and quality targets. You will act as a coach, motivator, sparring partner, and source of inspiration for your team, while remaining closely involved in daily operations and actively supporting lead qualification and appointment setting. Your own sales activities will set an example and ensure continuous knowledge transfer within the team. In addition to managing daily business, you will continuously develop pre-sales processes, optimize call scripts, and foster a high-performance sales culture. You will work closely with lead management and sales, contributing significantly to business growth.

Responsibilities

  • Technical and operational leadership of the pre-sales team for photovoltaic and heat pump solutions, including coaching, training, side-by-sides, and regular feedback.
  • Active participation in daily operations: Especially at the beginning, about half of your activity will involve telephone lead qualification, appointment setting, and customer consultation. This proportion will shift increasingly towards leadership tasks as the team grows.
  • Responsibility for quality, appointment, and performance targets, as well as high consulting and data quality; analysis of relevant key figures and derivation of optimization measures.
  • Further development of pre-sales sales processes, call scripts, and new approaches in close coordination with sales channels.
  • Capacity, shift, and resource planning for efficient management of daily business.
  • Creation of reports and close coordination with lead management, sales, marketing, and other stakeholders on results and recommendations for action.

Requirements

  • Completed degree or completed vocational training with sales experience, ideally in telephone sales or inside sales.
  • Enjoy coaching and motivating others, with a good sense for successful sales conversations.
  • Initial experience in leading, developing, or technically guiding colleagues – e.g., as a senior salesperson, informal team contact person, or in a comparable role.
  • Willingness to actively participate in operational sales alongside your leadership role, especially at the start.
  • Entrepreneurial thinking, high self-responsibility, and results orientation.
  • Ability to question processes, identify potential improvements, and actively drive change.
  • Communication strength, social competence, and a hands-on mentality.
