About the Role

As part of the BESONDERE ORTE team, you will ensure the technical smooth running of events and delight our customers. You will be responsible for the professional setup and dismantling of event technology and equipment in our locations, technically executing events while managing lighting, sound, media, and other technical aspects. You will serve as the technical point of contact for clients during events, resolving challenges effectively, and managing live streams and hybrid formats with professional technical execution. You will contribute your expertise to the development of our technical equipment and processes, advising on new acquisitions. You will collaborate closely with our event and catering teams to create a seamless event experience, maintain and care for our equipment, and stay updated on new developments. You will also mentor apprentices in event technology, with or without a trainer's license (AEVO), and support the next generation. During the off-season, you will assist our facility team with manual tasks around our locations. BESONDERE ORTE operates the Französischer Dom observation deck, three event locations, and is an active network member, offering a wide range of additional tasks beyond daily business.

Responsibilities

Requirements

Completed vocational training as a specialist for event technology.
Several years of professional experience, ideally with experience in technical event management.
Thorough understanding of live event processes and ability to maintain an overview of complex productions.
Interest in the latest industry developments and willingness to engage with new devices and software solutions.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with flexibility to switch between modes.
Customer-oriented approach, maintaining composure in stressful situations.
Resilient, flexible with working hours, and enjoys working in various locations.
Ideally possess a trainer's license (AEVO) or the willingness to obtain one.
Enjoy passing on knowledge to young people and mentoring apprentices.
