About the Role
Serve as a Scientific Expert in the oncology field, acting as the primary point of contact for customers to build relationships and lead medical activities. Responsible for product management within this field, including pre-launch preparations and post-launch activities to maximize product value through disease and product awareness.
Responsibilities
- Build relationships with external customers (Key External Experts, KEEs).
- Engage in discussions with KEEs based on the latest medical and scientific information to collect and analyze unmet medical needs and insights, and propose treatments.
- Explain evidence-based disease, pathology, and product value within the assigned area.
- Provide reactive, evidence-based information from a scientifically neutral standpoint in response to inquiries about pre-launch products (including unapproved drugs and off-label uses of approved drugs).
- Plan, manage, and support the execution of Scientific Exchange Meetings (SEM), Advisory Board Meetings, and medical booth activities conducted from a scientifically neutral standpoint.
- Provide consulting for investigator-initiated studies, academic presentations, and manuscript writing.
- Support clinical trial activities based on requests from the Research and Development Division.
- Execute project management plans.
Requirements
- Experience in lung cancer or oncology (3+ years preferred).
- Experience as an MSL (or other Medical role).
- Experience related to lung cancer products.
- Project leader experience.
- Research experience.
- Experience writing academic papers in English.
- Bachelor’s degree in a scientific discipline (e.g., Medicine, Pharmacy, or disease-related science).
- Qualifications as a Pharmacist, Nurse, Master's degree holder, or PhD holder.
- Communication skills to build good relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
- Logical thinking.
- Learning agility.
- Self-leadership.
- Facilitation skills.
- Coaching skills.
- Japanese language proficiency: Native level.
- English language proficiency: Ability to read internal documents and English medical papers without difficulty.
